Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said at the press conference ahead of their FA Cup fourth-round clash with Plymouth on February 9. That right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is still out of action, while his squad remains a mixed bag.

Trent was injured in the game against Bournemouth last weekend and will miss the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final. Which was a 4-0 win over Spurs yesterday. สมัคร UFABET

The 46-year-old has now said it is too early for the vice-captain to face his Championship opponents.

He said:

“In the FA, it’s always a tough game no matter who you’re playing. Because it’s an away game and the opposition treat it like a final to them.” he said before heading to Home Park, Plymouth.

“This kind of thing happens all the time no matter where Liverpool travel to.”

“I think it’s important now to give players who are not being used much time to accumulate some game time. So that when the next opportunity comes, they are ready.”

“Because if you don’t use them at all. It’s hard for the players to catch the rhythm in case the main players get injured or get suspended in the future.”

“We will definitely use a group of players who are not often used in competitions.”

“For Trent, I don’t think he’s ready yet. It’s too early to come back to the group.”

“As for the game against Everton (February 12), it is still difficult to answer. As I have said before, the Merseyside derby match does not come after the game against Plymouth for months or weeks. But only three days.”

“So let’s wait and see if he can do it.”

“We still have to look at the long-term usage. Of course, there is no need to take any risks. When there are still many games left to play from now on. But when he is fit, we will use him for sure.”

“In midfield, Tyler Morton is out with a shoulder injury and could miss a week or more.”
